I believe there is great deal of brain power left on the sidelines because of the failure of some of Minnesota's school districts to educate our children. In order to take advantage of the brain power sitting on the sidelines in our economy I am proposing that our tech schools create GED programs embedded into the schools. When the individual finishes their GED program they can enroll into the many tech programs that provide the education needed for our modern manufacturing economy.

is a powerful story of someone who received a GED in the United States Navy and went on to found many businesses and become a Billionaire. Because the United States Armed Forces no longer is a pathway for individuals to get their GED, I am proposing that our Tech Schools provide a pathway for those who do not have a high school diploma to get their GED.
